Congratulations! You've been welcomed into America's most famous criminal organization, the Corleone family. More than 30 years have passed since The Godfather film carved a niche in American pop culture, but the Corleones are ready for a comeback and they want you to help — and perhaps one day even lead them. After a life of small-time jobs and petty thefts, you now have the opportunity to make a name for yourself in a big way, but first you'll have to carry out orders, earn respect and rise through the ranks using all means at your disposal. Featuring non-linear gameplay set in the 1945-55 era of New York City and weaving scenes from the movie with original plot elements, The Godfather: The Game puts you in the Corleones' world to solve their problems using brutal violence, skillful diplomacy or a cunning mixture of both.

Choose your path as you create yourself within the game, rising from lowly outsider to envied and feared don. Along the way, interact with classic characters from the film, including Don Vito Corleone, Sonny Corleone and Tom Hagen, voiced by original actors Marlon Brando, James Caan and Robert Duvall. With a story written by Mark Winegardner, author of the novel Godfather Returns, you can be sure the action and characters will be authentic, right down to your enemies in the Tattaglia, Cuneo, Sollozzo, Brazini and Stracci families, with whom you'll battle for total control of New York.
